I love people who run companies. It’s the most visceral and vulnerable job in the business world — I’ve done it myself. I like digging into operations, pitching customers, and diving into the numbers. In fact, I often start with financial statements when I first meet a client. Needless to say, I’m not your typical lawyer.

But I love the law, too. I love finance and law equally, and I sit right in the middle. I enjoy contracts and deals, analyzing risks, and building strategies to mitigate them. To me, business law is about identifying risks and eliminating them wherever possible. That’s what I focus on every day: the law and the finance, the language and the numbers, the art and the science — problem-solving with business owners, executives, and investors.
